Olivier, a former paint chemist, started his career at early age in France, and comes from a family with many generations of artisans who produce and install decorative finishes in Europe. Olivier is exceptionally talented with paint and plaster, and worked with a long and impressive list of clients around the globe. Olivier, alongside his wife Burcu, funded Color Atelier and meticulously developed all of its products, driven by a commitment to producing the highest quality architectural finishes made in the United States. Burcu has a master degree in business and a trained eye for interior design and color. She oversees the brand and all things marketing and communications.
At Color Atelier, we believe in the beauty and power of pure, honest, and authentic materials, and techniques. Our line is a small batch paint and plaster available in a curated palette of colors each with hand-crafted depth and texture. We have invested in the finest ingredients, and practiced traditional European techniques to create these natural and timeless artisanal finishes. Our finishes bring an unparalleled distinction to surfaces via old world methods designed for today’s modern aesthetics and health criteria. We produce some of the most environmentally friendly paints and plasters available anywhere in the world today out of our facilities in California. Our paints and plasters are made with lime, clay, marble powder, sand, and other minerals, just 20 miles outside of our San Francisco showroom. Our local supply chain and distribution channels in New York, and California have the lowest possible environmental impact. These beautiful and durable finishes are earth friendly in production and application.
Our mission is to help people to rediscover the beauty of natural paints and plasters by creating products that respect and sustain our natural world. When you support Color Atelier, you're supporting the very real people that made or shipped or photographed that product.
So thank you for making it all possible.
