Lime Slurry can be applied as base coats as well as finish coats, on interior and exterior surfaces. It can be rendered to create a range of textures; from a brushed linear effect to a troweled smooth finish. The slurry bonds to the surface through a natural process resulting in a breathable, and permeable coating. May be applied directly over bricks, concrete blocks, plaster surfaces, or walls with any mineral substrate that is untreated, unsealed. If the surface is previously painted or treated, should be primed with Color Atelier’s Bonding Primer.
The natural state of Lime Slurry is white. May be painted later with Lime Paint, or tinted.
32 lbs. will cover approximately 150 to 200 sq ft in 1 coat, depending on the desired thickness, application method, and the type of substrate.
Restore and repair walls or leave with texture and defects for an older looking, distressed finish. The substrate must be cleaned before the application. No primer needed for unpainted, absorbent brick, stone or other masonry surfaces. If it is previously painted or treated, should be primed with Color Atelier’s Bonding Primer. For highly absorbent substrates, lightly mist the substrate with water or dip the brush in water and brush over the substrate. Apply it with a roller, brush, or trowel, for your desired application. Allow the first coat to dry for 24 hours before applying the second coat. Product can be tinted, or painted later
with Lime Paint.
