PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Lime Slurry is a breathable, mineral-based coating designed for both interior and exterior surfaces. Its natural mineral composition creates a distinctive matte finish with the tactile character of traditional lime and stone plaster.

Lime Slurry can be applied over brick, concrete, stucco, plaster, and other mineral surfaces. On untreated and unsealed mineral substrates, it bonds naturally to the surface while maintaining a breathable, permeable finish.

Previously painted, sealed, or otherwise treated surfaces should first be prepared with Color Atelier Bonding Primer to ensure proper adhesion.

The consistency and application method can be adjusted to achieve different looks, from a more pronounced hand-worked surface to a smoother, understated finish.

COLOR

Lime Slurry is offered in its natural white finish, falling between Old White and Natural in our color palette.

For color, apply Color Atelier Lime Paint over the finished Lime Slurry surface. This combines the tactile character of Lime Slurry with the tonal movement and extensive color palette of our limewash paint, opening up a wide range of possibilities for both interior and exterior projects.

Custom-tinted Lime Slurry is also available for qualifying projects, subject to minimum order quantities. Please contact us for details.

COVERAGE

5 Gallon | 32 lbs.
Approximately 150–200 sq. ft. in one coat, depending on desired thickness, application method, and substrate.

2 Gallon | 12 lbs.
Approximately 60–80 sq. ft. in one coat, depending on desired thickness, application method, and substrate.

Actual coverage will vary depending on the porosity and texture of the surface and the desired finish.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Lime Slurry can be applied directly to untreated, unsealed mineral surfaces such as brick, concrete, stucco, and plaster.

Surfaces should be clean, sound, and free of dust, dirt, grease, sealers, or other contaminants that may interfere with adhesion.

For previously painted, sealed, or non-mineral surfaces, apply Color Atelier Bonding Primer before Lime Slurry.

MIXING & APPLICATION

Lime Slurry is supplied as a dry mineral mixture to be combined with clean water before application. Mix thoroughly until the desired consistency is achieved.

Apply using a brush, roller, or trowel, depending on the desired appearance. The material can be worked during application to create anything from a softly brushed surface to a smoother, more refined plaster-like finish.

Allow approximately 24 hours of drying time between coats. Additional coats may be applied depending on the desired coverage, texture, and appearance.

Once fully dry, Lime Slurry may be left in its natural white finish or coated with Color Atelier Lime Paint for color.
